The title repeats after 41 years. The captain of the ship of the then ‘Eradu Kanasu’ SK Bhagwan was present on Wednesday morning to the muhurut of ‘Eradau Kanasu’ of today. It is at the same Kanteerava studio he held muhurut and there was a huge set for the shooting of Dr Rajakumar ever green film.

The first release of ‘Eradu Kanasu’ was 6th February, 1974. It ran for 36 weeks and set some box office records remember SK Bhagwan. It was Dorai Bhagwan duo directed film with Rajan Nagendra musical scores are in circulation among music lovers even to this day. Balakrishna, Rajanand, KS Ashwath, Sampath, B Jayasri, Pandari Bai are in the cast. Chi Udayashanker lyrics are an additional top value of this film ‘Eradu Kanasu’.

What about today’s ‘Eradu Kanasu’ – it is Vijaya Raghavendra a close relative of Dr Rajakumar in two dreams – Love and life appearing in the film. He has two heroines like the original – Karunya Rao and Prajju Poovaiah.

Eradu Kanasu title is not kept so easily says debutant director Madan. A thorough story is prepared for the film by a student of Adarsha Film Institute and his father is producer. The shoot will be held in Mysuru, Devanahalli and Madikeri. There is comedy and action, five songs are penned by Jayanth Kaikini, Nagendra Prasad, one by director, Chandan Shett and V Manohar.

Vijaya Raghavendra was bit surprised when the title was announced. It was a very grand film title. After hearing the story I felt it is right to keep such a title he said.

Producer of the film Ashok KB is Dr Rajakumar fan. He hails from education field. He had seen ‘Eradu Kanasu’ several times. This film father is investing on the captainship of son as director.

Prajju Poovaiah is playing modern girl. She is a journalist. Karunya Rao back in the scene after long gap in ‘Vajrakaya’ says she cannot reveal much as it would declare open the secret of the film.

It was duo music of Rajan and Nagendra in 1974 Eradu Kanasu, now Steve and Kaushik duo are scoring music for five songs.
